Day twenty eight

It was the day we needed to return the car and get back to Sydney. The weather was very poor, with fog on the road.  We visited a National Trust of Australia property in Leura using our U.K. cards to get in free. The house was built in 1935 and is a classic Art Deco building. The garden was one of the few Australian gardens created in the European style but unfortunately the weather did not show it off to its best.

  Things got more difficult when I went to fill the car for the first time prior to returning it. There was no indication on the car as to whether it was diesel or petrol! The petrol station man thought it was petrol but would not guarantee it. We tried ringing the hire company but got an answerphone! It took a mechanic from the next door garage to look under the bonnet and confirm it was petrol! We are now back in Sydney now and planning our next trips.
